Francis L'Africain
M.P.A.

Microbiologist by training, Francis has recently finished his professional master's degree in audiology at the University of Montreal in 2018, leaving aside fundamental research for clinical practice. To refine his training, he completed his last internship entirely dedicated to the assessment and treatment of vestibular pathologies in Toronto, at the Toronto General Hospital. In addition, Francis is also involved in the advancement of numerous projects within the Quebec Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologist (QASLPA) and currently co-chairs the interest group in vestibular audiology in Quebec. Also offering his services in the Nunavik territory, he works with both a pediatric and an adult population.

Louise Perreault
M.O.A.

She graduated from the School of Speech Therapy and Audiology (É.O.A.) of the University of Montreal in 1994 with a master’s degree. Her theses discussed the " A questionnaire validation for screening of hearing problems in elderly of Caron and Mercury (1991) ". Louise has a large professional experiences in various environments. She worked for many years in a university hospital in order to offer differential and specialized diagnostic services such as evaluation of hearing disorders, audiological evaluation of patients treated by chemotherapy and radiotherapy with an ototoxic risk, electrophysiological evaluation and intervention related to vertigo or imbalance disorders. She has been involved in the development of several clinical projects and the development of information documents. In addition, she coordinated professional and clinical training activities at the University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM) and during the transfer and implementation of the audiology service at the new CHUM (NCHUM). The Order of Speech therapists and Audiologists of Quebec (O.O.A.Q.) awarded her an Honorable Mention for his involvement in the development of the Map training program. For many years, she engaged in clinical training with students, both in hospitals and at the University of Montreal. She participated in the course redesign of the new master's program in audiology from the School of speech-therapy and audiology of the University of Montreal which started in the fall of 2019. At present, she practices her professional activities in a private clinic. It offers diagnostic and specialized services in particular, to clients with otological and vestibular problems.

Mathilde Michaud
M.P.A.

Mathilde obtained her professional Master's degree from the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at the Université de Montréal in 2014. She has been practicing audiology for the ODYO group since 2017 and for Cité de la Santé’s hospital in Laval since 2015. Mathilde enjoys her work with a varied clientele, from young children to adults with hearing loss, tinnitus or vertigo. She also has some experience working in remote and isolated regions: she stated her career at the North Shore and is now going to Nunavik twice a year to work with Inuit people.

Maxime Maheu
M.P.A.

Maxime graduated from the University of Ottawa since 2010, he worked as an audiologist for the last 4 years. He worked with the pediatric clientele as much as the adult population. He was a lecturer at the University of Montreal and served as a speaker in various formations. He also worked in the field of vestibular evaluation for more than two years. In addition to his clinical interest, he is very involved in research. Following these two interests, he began his doctoral studies at the University of Montreal in 2014, vestibular disorders research, while pursuing his clinical work.

Mujda Nooristani
M.P.A.

Mujda graduated from the University of Montreal in 2019 where she received her Master’s degree in audiology at the School of speech pathology and audiology. She had a special interest for the vestibular field during her undergraduate and graduate studies. Indeed, she led several research projects in the vestibular field during her graduate studies. Due to her great interest for research, she is currently doing her PhD studies at the University of Montreal, while pursuing her clinical practice. Her research projects focus on the effects of galvanic vestibular stimulation on the vestibular system and its functions. The ultimate objective of her research work is to help populations with vestibular disorders. Furthermore, she is also interested to the pediatric population and to tinnitus.
