Who is an Audiologist?

The audiologist holds a Master’s degree in audiology and works with clients of all ages suffering from a number of hearing problems (tinnitus, hyperacusis, vertigo, hearing loss, auditory processing disorder). The audiologist is a health professional who prevents, assesses and treats hearing disorders.

In order to determine your hearing sensitivity, the audiologist may, depending on the patient’s age and the challenges, evaluate your hearing by different means. He can then proceed to an audiogram that allows him to determine your level of hearing. The audiologist may also, if necessary, carry out objective assessments to document your hearing level impairment.
